Tonight during prayers: " Please bless all the people who fight in wars that no one will die, and bless the people that live in cities without very much food will get food and not be hungry."
Driving by a church: "How come we don't go to that capital 't' church?" Funny because it is actually a lowercase 't'.
And my favorite, Mitch was telling me about a patient that has a heart defect, pulmonary edema and is pregnant. To make matters worse she smokes. Jackson pipes in from the back seat-- "She smokes! and she's pregnant! Did you say, "HAVE FUN KILLING YOUR BABY!!! to her daddy?" I am still laughing about that one.

So Blessed
The wonderful girls here in our new home, threw me a baby shower. I feel so blessed to have people in my life who would do something so generous for someone they barely know. I received wonderful gifts, and I am so excited to start playing dress-up with our little princess, once she finally gets here.

Chester
Chester is a raccoon that gets to go home with a different member of Jackson's kindergarten class each day. They are to do something with Chester and then write about it in his journal. Jackson was so excited to get Chester today. He came running off the bus with his huge smile and exclaimed, "Mom, I got Chester!" And then started planning their day together. He has had him with him ever since he got home. Since it was homework he wanted to get the journal part done right away, here is what we ended up with

The Hotel Hershey
On Sunday we went to a beautiful spot in Hershey, the Hotel Hershey. It has formal gardens and nice walking trails on the grounds. Mitch was just going to take the boys to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather, but I decided to come along. Ever since I made it to 34 weeks (Asher was born at 34 wks) I have felt like I am just fine going out and walking a little. We had a great evening. The boys loved running around and looking at the fish in the koi pond.

Our silly boys won't ever look at us when we try and take their picture. Still I think the view from behind is pretty cute, I especially love that you can see Asher's Thomas underwear and a little bit of crack.

Jackson loves my belly. Everyday when he gets off the bus he comes running to hug my belly and says, "Hi, baby!" It is so cute. If he is that excited about the baby in my belly, I can only imagine how great he will be with the baby. Hopefully we will find our soon!
I know that I reused a few pictures in this post, but I was having fun with some new web tempalates.

Hershey Park
On labor day, after two back-to-back 30 hour shifts in the ICU, I (Mitch) decided to try to salvage the weekend for the boys and take them to Hershey Park. We got a season pass this year and go whenever we get the chance. We are less than two miles away, and it has been great on hot days to go the the waterpark, or to hit the rides in the evening if I get home at a decent time. Asher is absolutely fearless and will ride any rollercoaster he can. He throws his arms up in the air and grins ear to ear the entire ride. After doing the Super-dooper-Looper, he was beaming and said " that was my favorite ride EVER". Jackson, who is still gutsy, but a little more cautious/aware, was afraid he would fall off the ride going around the loop until I told him about "Centricital" forces. One of the funniest rides is the Frog Hopper. Everytime it bounces, the boys laugh their heads off. We had a great day and can't wait to go back again.

We {heart} Watermelon!
My boys love watermelon! It's kind of crazy. They will eat half a watermelon each and then ask for more.
Yesterday, we decided to try and have at least one summer evening this year, so we put up the patio table, fired up the grill and had hot dogs and watermelon. It was so nice being outside and enjoying what is left of summer.

I love a project
I have been keeping busy during my down time this pregnancy. After we moved, got settled and I started feeling better, I started on a few little things to keep be busy while I was lying around. I started with knitting and crochet projects since I had to be lying back at all times.
I did a Gracie hat for my little girl on the way.
I Experimented with a new hat pattern. (to be named later.)
Made Christmas stockings for two new nephews.
Made a cocoon and a wrap, not practical, but I am hoping that they look good in pictures.
And I made a baby afghan. What I learned. I don't like the big long projects this might just be the last one I do. I made the knitted on over a year ago, I just decided to photograph them together.
