Cutting Christmas trees

The day after Thanksgiving we headed up into the mountains to cut down christmas trees for my parents and Blake and Laura.

We also planned to take a family picture since this was the first time the whole family had been together in years.

 I think the group shot turned out great.  Especially considering I only had 3 changes to get it right.

I also took  pictures of my brother's and sister's families.  It was a beautiful location, and the pictures turned out great.

Thanksgiving 2013

We started Thanksgiving Day off with a Turkey Trot.  Jordan and I ran with Ryder and Jackson.  Blake ran with big Lily, Arlo and Lila, (who did the race in red cowboy boots. Also in a stroller)  It was a beautiful morning and a great day for a run.

Jackson was picked to get on stage and help pass out prizes.  He was pretty happy about it!

The kids made these cute turkeys.

The dinner was delicious.  We used 5 ovens to make it all, and I am proud to say that nothing came out of a box.  This was the first Thanksgiving I have spent with my family since I was pregnant with Asher.  It was so fun to be back with my fam.

This is the one casualty of the evening.  My Lily, who has become quit the prolific artist, colored all over Laura's throw pillow.  She might have gotten away with it, but she wrote her name on it a few times.

Jackson is 10!

Jackson had his 10 year old birthday party, and it was super fun. The kids played laser tag, shot bows, ate pizza and cake, and a good time was had by all.
Before all the kiddos and after It was a laser tag parter, but shooting the bows turned into the bigger hit. Jackson's favorite part of the party was shooting the piñata with the bows. It was his idea and I think it was a great one.  The kids loved it, and I was amazed at how good they were, especially since it was a tricky target swinging with the wind The laser cake. The gang. This kids was giddy about his gifts.
