The Baltimore Aquarium and Inner Harbor-post by Mitch
Jackson and Asher are currently obsessed with marine animals and sea life. They are constantly reading books, doing internet searches, and watching documentaries about sea life. Currently Jackson wants to be a Marine Biologist when he grows up. So, I thought it might be fun to visit the Baltimore aquarium on our way down to Assateague Island. The boys loved it. They loved identifying all the the fish, animals, and plants that they have been reading about. They were extremely excited all day. They particularly enjoyed the dolphin show, seeing the big sting ray pool, and the shark tanks. They also really enjoyed watching the Archer fish shoot crickets off a stick over the water by spitting 3-4 feet. Their aim was amazing.
After the aquarium we walked around Inner Harbor in Baltimore. We got lucky and a restored ship was open free to the public, so the boys were able to pretend to shoot a canon and act like pirates. They had a great time.
