Spring fever

To all of our friends and family that now have beautiful flowers growing in their yard, that are able to wear shorts and T-shirts, and feel the warm spring sun on their skin. Don't feel sorry for us because when we woke up Saturday morning there was a good four inches of snow on the ground. The foot or so of snow in the mountains, abated our longings for spring. We had a great ski day! Jackson thought it was the "Best ski day EVER".

Jackson did pretty well last time we went skiing, but this time with the deep soft powder to cusion his fall, his confidence was boosted. He did so well. He had to do everything by himself. He wouldn't let us help him on or off the lift and only wanted our help if he fell and it was too deep of snow to get up. He was so good at making a "big pizza" to stop himself and he found a jump in some trees, and he was actually able to get a little "air". Today he kept talking about powder; "Mom, do you like powder? because powder is my favorite." "Wow, do you see all that powder? I want to go skiing again." It is so fun to watch our little guy have this kind of passion for skiing. It's just too bad that this is the last week we will be able to go this season. He keeps asking if he can go next Saturday. I am sure that we will find something else he can get really excited about.

Way to go...you already have your video of ski day. Wish Elijah loved it as much as Jackson. I guess every kid is different.

What an awesome little skier! I love that he is all about powder at the age of 4. You aren't fooling us though, Wendy. Your new title bar shows where your heart really is :)

wow! Look at Jackson go.
Really there are trade offs. We love that we can play outside all the time, but we miss the snow and mountains.
