The August Cabin

The August cabin trip was just the Child family. It was so much fun, and so great to have everyone but McCade, (who is off seeing the world with PoliticIt, a super cool opportunity, so he was forgiven) all together for the first time in forever.

The paddle board was a big favorite of the trip, for many different activities.

Jackson loved the paddle board, he used it to paddle to Frog Island. and for other fun. Jackson, Ryder and Lila loved riding on the paddle board behind the boat, (yes I know not it's intended use.)  Asher not so much, he started out okay. but he let us know he was not happy soon enough. for Jackson and Ryder the goal was to cross the wake, not an easy task and this happened over and over again. There was of course beach time. The Lily Monster. Cousins Jackson water skied.  He did so great, he even surprised himself. there was a dance party the of course there was shooting.

There always seems to be a baby who baths in the sink, this time it was Greta. She has grown so much this summer, I am in love with all her fat rolls. Now that my blog is private I don't feel so bad about posting this picture, just look at those leg rolls. This year's cabin trip came with a big surprise. My brother's wife Brooke was not quite 33 weeks pregnant and three days into the trip her water broke! She and Garrett made it to Idaho Falls, and on Tuesday August 21st, their baby girl was born. We are so happy that everything turned out well for them. She is doing great and we are so happy to have a new niece/cousin. We never would have thought that when we took this picture we would be missing one. All the Child children except for Estee Scout.
